Thirubuvanam couple Kathiresan and Meenatchi, who claim that the national award-winning actor Dhanush is their son, have said that Dhanush erasing the birthmarks by leaser treatment has vindicated their stance that he was their son.

Hailing from Sivagangai, the couple had filed a case with the Melur District Sessions Court claiming that Dhanush was their son and that he should pay them a sum of Rs.65,000/- as maintenance per month. He claimed that Dhanush deserted them when he was in Class XI and filed copies of academic certificates requesting the Court to check for birthmarks in Dhanush’s body.

Dhanush had pleaded with the Madurai Bench of the Chennai High Court to dispose the couple’s case. On Court’s instructions, Dhanush underwent medical check-up and the report said that no birthmarks (as referred to in certificates submitted by the couple) were present on Dhanush’s body as they seemed to have been ‘erased’ by laser treatment. “There was a strong trace of laser treatment,” the report told the Court.

“We don’t even want money from Dhanush and only expect him to declare in the Court that he is our son. We have been struggling hard only to prove this. We feel we would get justice from the Court; Dhanuh erasing birthmarks has vindicated our claim that he is our son for sure,” the couple says with confidence.
