Erode Krishnamurthy, who claims that he is the son of the deceased chief-minister J. Jayalalithaa, has filed the relevant documents with the Court to support his claim.

Jayalalithaa, who was admitted to Apollo Hospitals, Chennai on 22nd September last year on complaints of dehydration and fever, spent an uncertain stint of 75 days at the hospital before she was finally declared dead late on the night of 05th December. Jayalalithaa’s immense popularity, administrative capabilities, multi-faceted personality and leadership qualities came in for huge praise from leaders across the country who attended her funeral in large numbers on 06th December in Chennai.

Amid suspicion of foul-play by ‘jailbird’ Sasikala in Jayalalithaa’s demise, former chief-minister O. Panneerselvam revolted against Sasikala and floated his faction of the AIADMK. Former Speaker Pandian even accused Sasikala of attacking and ‘pushing’ Jayalalithaa down the stairs in Poes Garden and purposely delaying the ‘golden hour’ of rushing the chief-minister to Hospital.

In the meantime, Krishnamurthy filed a complaint with the chief-secretary stating “I’m the son born to Jayalalithaa and Sobhan Babu. I’m her real heir and I should legally get all her properties. I stayed for four days in Poes Garden two months prior to Jayalalithaa’s demise. At a time when she was about to declare me as her son, Sasikala pushed her down the stairs, leading to her hospitalization and demise.”

Krishnamurthy also filed a case with the Chennai High Court after which the Court asked him to file the relevant documents with it. As per the Court’s instructions, Krishnamurthy filed the documents which would be sent to the Police Commissioner through registered post so that their genuineness could be checked/verified.
