It is reported from the Parappana Agrahara Prison in Bangalore that the jailed Sasikala, former aide of former Tamil Nadu chief-minister J. Jayalalithaa, is very upset with the functioning of her nephew Dinakaran, appointed by her as the AIADMK’s deputy general secretary on the day she left for Bangalore from Chennai to surrender before the Prison authorities to serve a 4-year long term in the assets case.

It is said that Sasikal has had no visitors including friends and relatives for the past few days, which had eroded her morale. A senior Tamil Nadu cop reportedly called on her yesterday. It is said that Sasikala actually sent a word for the cop to come to the Prison so that she could discuss with him the latest developments in Tamil Nadu.

During the meeting, the cop told Sasikala about chief-minister Edapadi Palanichamy and Dinakaran’s activities which weren’t to Sasikala’s liking. The cop also told her about the efforts being made by Dinakaran to usurp the party as well as the Govt. led by it. It was also informed to Sasikala that a 4-member coterie had been formed around Dinakaran to advise and guide him in his endeavours.

Sasikala reportedly broke down at the breach of trust displayed by Dinakaran who had announced himself as the faction’s candidate to contest from R.K. Nagar. She is said to have ‘instructed’ the cop to keep tabs on the duo of Palanichamy and Dinakaran and keep her informed on their movements/strategies.

In the meantime, it is said that chief-minister Palanichamy was shocked when he heard about the cop’s meeting with Sasikala which took place without his knowledge.
