Would you believe that Christian Bale, who put on Batman’s cape and cowl in Christopher Nolan’s ‘Dark Knight’ trilogy, hasn’t seen his successor Ben Affleck in the role or even any of the ‘Avengers’ movies?
While appearing on a podcast, Bale said, “I have not [seen Ben Affleck’s Batman]. Yes I’m interested [in seeing it], my son seemed like he was really interested, but then I realized he just wanted to see the trailer and that was it -I tend to go see films that [my kids] want to see.” “I have to confess I’m not a huge superhero film fan. People seem surprised at that, I don’t know why,” he added.
Meanwhile, it turns out Bale was up for, and came really close to taking, the role in Solo: A Star Wars Story, that ultimately went to Woody Harrelson. Bale also hinted that he might yet find himself in a Star Wars film. “There was discussion, [and] I hope there will be future discussions,” he said.
