AR Rahman has revealed that the sensuous female vocals in the song ‘Tango Kelaayo’ from Kaatru Veliyidai belong to none other than singer Haricharan himself.
“Dear Fazil, Thank you for your kind words. Its Haricharan himself with his vocal formant and pitch-tweaked to modulate like a young sensuous female..we tried others but we couldn’t get this quality so retained the temp,” wrote Rahman to a query from a fan named Fazil.
Rahman also jokingly added, “Just finished the ‘Cheliyaa’ press meet at Hyderabad and sitting jobless now.”
His next release is Mani Ratnam’s Kaatru Veliyidai which will see the light of day on April 7th.
